The Scriptures are inspired
We believe the Scriptures are the inspired Word of God, constituting the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and . . .
conduct, God revealing Himself to man through the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments. It is the standard by which we live our lives.

In the One True God
We believe in the One True God revealed in the three persons
of the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the . . .
Creator and Sustainer of heaven and earth, the eternal and self-existent Great “I AM.” He is the Lord of the Universe Who providentially governs and guides mankind in His redeeming love.

In the Deity of the Lord, Jesus Christ
We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of the Father, the Savior of all mankind . . .
Laying aside His pre-incarnate glory to be born of a virgin, He lived a sinless life, performing miracles, and triumphing—once for all —through His substitutionary death on the cross.

Through His shedding of blood and bodily resurrection He conquered sin and death, ascending to the right hand of the Father, spanning the spiritual gulf between God and man. Fulfilling all Scripture, He is the long-awaited One Who will come again in splendor and glory!

  • His sinless life: Hebrews 7:26
  • His miracles: Acts 2:22
  • His substitutionary work on the cross: 2 Corinthians 5:21
  • His bodily resurrection from the dead: 1 Corinthians 15:4
  • His exaltation to the right hand of God: Acts 2:32-35

In the fall and salvation of man
We believe everyone has sinned and disobeyed God’s Law—
God revealed by Scripture, the observable witness of creation,
and His Law (the Ten Commandments) written upon . . .
our conscience. Sin was initially conceived through the fall of Adam and Eve, but is perpetuated through our sin nature. Consequently, we suffer a broken relationship with our Creator, and without His grace, we will stand guilty on Judgment Day.

However, knowing God is an uncompromisingly righteous Judge Who cannot overlook sin (the penalty being spiritual death and eternity in Hell), He provides atonement for those who repent (turn away) from their sin and trust in His Son, Jesus Christ.

This is the “good news” of the gospel: Jesus, Who knew no sin, bearing the wrath of God on our behalf, His sacrificial death on the cross becoming the propitiation for our sin. Thus in a supreme example of love, He reconciles us to Himself, His blood cleansing us from all sin and guilt. In accepting His gracious offer of eternal life, we are changed. We become transformed into His image—rescued and delivered from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of Light.

In receiving salvation
We believe salvation is a gift of God, not wrought by our own merit, but received by repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. Repentance means turning from sin and turning to Christ . . .
and confessing Him as Lord and Savior. Doing so, we appropriate His sacrificial death on the cross as a personal, substitutionary act of grace, allowing the Holy Spirit to empower us to live a life reflective of His love.

Repentance then is not a one-time act as in a past tense experience, but it is to be viewed in the present tense, implying a life-style of repentance. Doing so, we share in the hope of eternal life. We also become heirs of God, partaking in His nature, demonstrated by the inward witness of the Holy Spirit, and made manifest to others by the outward evidences of spiritual regeneration: pursuing righteousness, distancing ourselves from evil, and walking in a manner worthy of our calling.

In the ordinances, ministry, and mission of the Church
We believe the “Church” is comprised of the true body of believers in Jesus Christ—the Head, from Whom each member derives the impetus for service. It is an active spiritual . . .
organization distinguished by love, advancing God’s kingdom, and trumpeting the salvation of Christ in the world.

Along with the ordinances of water baptism for new believers, (immersion symbolizing our identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ), and the partaking of the Lord’s Supper by believers (collectively remembering His work upon the cross), believers are to fulfill the mission of the Church—empowered by the Holy Spirit—preaching the gospel, teaching God’s Word, and making disciples.

Additionally, we believe in the operation of the New Testament gifts of the Spirit, and offering prayers for healing and anointing with oil: all spiritual gifts and practices subject to the governance of Scripture. Believers are further equipped to carry out the work of the ministry by those called to the five-fold gifts of spiritual leadership (apostles, prophets, teachers, pastors, evangelists), each bearing in mind the high standard of accountability and personal holiness that befits the exalted Name of Christ, Who is all in all.

In the return of Jesus Christ
We believe in the imminent return of Jesus Christ. This will be preceded by the rapture of the Church (meaning “to be caught away”)—at which time, believers who have died will . . .
rise from their graves to meet the Lord in the air. Their spirits (having been with Christ) will be reunited with their bodies, transformed incorruptible, and subsequently joined by believers who are yet alive and also instantly changed, caught up to be with Christ forever.

We believe what follows is a period of tribulation on the earth; and after the end of seven years, Jesus will return with His saints, constituting His second coming. At this point, His Millennial Reign will begin, ushering in a time of universal righteousness and peace, ruling all nations after the battle of Armageddon.

We also believe there will be a final judgment for those who have rejected Christ, God sentencing them to eternal punishment in a lake of fire. But the ones who have accepted Him will dwell in a new heavens and earth—lovingly created for those who, from all peoples and time, have chosen to live according to Deuteronomy 6:5 :

"And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart
and with all your soul and with all your strength." (NAS)
